HAND WASHING CAMPAIGN

Those involved in the Hand Washing campaign, we need to get posters up by the 5th of May, which is World Hand Washing Day

From WHO Website

" The WHO Guidelines on Hand Hygiene in Health Care are currently being revised and the final version will be made available shortly. The final revised Implementation Toolkit, including new tools, will be launched on 5 May 2009 as part of the Save Lives: Clean Your Hands initiative.

Save Lives: Clean Your Hands is a Clean Care is Safer Care initiative that aims to galvanise global action on hand hygiene at the point of care, building on the enthusiasm and action we have seen since the launch of Clean Care is Safer Care in 2005. "

On the 5th, Dr Ranjit wants us to have a simple exhibition like thing in the atrium with posters and articles about the importance of hand washing.

I want to meet up with everyone involved after Patho quiz today to quickly discuss what we can do. Won't take long I promise. =)

Between 60kg and 80kg
Above 80kg

And two weight classes for women (variable)

Above 55kg

For each category there is a prize of 50RM for the ultimate winner. The competition will be a knockout, tournament based style-esque competition and everyone (except lecturers) is invited to join! The joining fee for the competition will be 5RM per person, though members of the club are entitled to a 2RM discount to reduce the price to 3RM.

We will be setting up a table in the atrium from the 20th of April to the 24th of April for anyone interested in the competition, where we can answer any questions, and sign up anyone who is interested in joining this highly lucrative competition.
